Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher except for a couple bigger groups of weaned steer calves under 500 lbs selling 15.00-25.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good for a moderate supply. Things have been looking up for the cattle market lately with some fed cattle trading higher last week and an expectation of a bullish COF report has pushed cattle futures higher. Also, corn has taken a downturn to well below $5.00/ bushel again. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 lower.
